The community of Saint Aloysius has been a welcoming presence in Yarra Glen for over 130 years. Parishioners have long been involved in many community activities, works of charity and visitation, and value the long friendships with other Christians of the area. The beautiful wooden church has been lovingly cared for by generations of parishioners.
On 19 July 2015, the community gathered in celebration for the 125th anniversary of the church’s formal opening by Rev Dr Carr, Archbishop of Melbourne in 1890. Photos from this event and others can be found in the left menu.
You are welcome to join the faithful in the following regular activities at Saint Aloysius. All are followed by an enjoyable supper and tea, and sometimes a meal.
